Never a Dull Moment!

We had Olivia's 15 month pictures taken Easter weekend. LOTS of great pictures from an amazing photographer! This one makes me laugh! Not one we'll be sending out, but the face is priceless- love it! She is a funny girl for sure & keeps us on our toes!

SO Good!

The past few trips to the grocery store the chocolate covered Entenmann's doughnuts have been calling my name. I resisted many times though! Not because of the calories, but because of the price! I know, I am cheap! I never caught them on sale & just couldn't bring myself to buy them & pay full price. Had to run to Lowe's Food Monday night to grab some milk & stock up on chicken while it was on sale & right by the milk stood the Entenmann's display calling my name! FULL price again....BUT near the check out I spotted a good deal that I couldn't pass up! Sweet Sixteens were on sale & those little chocolate frosted doughnuts were saying 'please take me home!'. I ate at least 2 in the car, at home I dunked 4 or 5 (lost count!!) in milk- SO good! Let's just say within 24 hours the entire bag was gone & I ate them all- SO good!! Everyone loves to ask what you crave when you're pregnant. This time I love to eat cereal late at night- sugary kid's cereal =) & pop tarts too! Guess you can add chocolate covered doughnuts to the list! At least all 3 require a big glass of milk- gotta get your calcuim in!

His name isn't a secret! We just didn't want you all to find out on here- just ask if you haven't heard.
Aunt Toni gets the award- she was the 1st to see the post & she quickly asked if she missed something because she didn't see his name on here- nope she didn't read too fast, it isn't on here yet! Uncle Tyler gets 2nd place- he fussed this morning & asked why would we post about his name if we're keeping it a secret. I think he was extra fussy because he turned FORTY today!! =) I did tell him & he approved! No secret, just ask! We'd rather tell you so we get the initial reaction!

& He Shall Be Called.....

Little brother has a name! FINALLY! This has been tough....we had a girl's name picked, but we were struggling with boy names. We looked at list after list after list.... We narrowed it down to 6, then 4, then 2 & we have finally decided! Seems like it took us forever, but I checked the blog & we announced Olivia's name at 21 weeks, so we're really only 2 weeks behind.

We've laughed at some of the suggestions from many of you along the way- some of you had some funny suggestions, but this one is 100% from his mom & dad! We really don't know where it came from, or why, but it hit the list very early on out of no where & just seemed to stick. A name we'd never discussed before or even thought about until now. Through all the searching it was the 1 name we never questioned, doubted, or had negative thoughts on & the 1 name we always went back to. Seth kept wanting a 'sign' to make sure & last week we found one. I was looking online at birth announcements to help a friend & saw one with his exact name on it (1st & middle)....sent it to Seth & asked if that was his sign?! It isn't a typical name so we laughed & said that must have been our 'sign'!

I know many of you think we're weird because we don't talk baby names until we choose it, just easier that way! If we share the list everyone gives their thoughts & may try to convince us not to name him 1 of our favorite names. This way when we share his name it is final & so no one really tells you if they don't like it! =) & listening to you all try to come up with names & figure out what we're thinking is fun too!

A Need For Speed!

Our wild child LOVES to go down the driveway as fast as she can! Luckily she has gotten good at steering so she won't run into the ditch! She laughs the whole way down & will do this for hours if you'll let her. Yes, we stand at the end of the driveway to stop her & watch for cars!

Welcome Home Scotty!

Welcome home Scotty!

Lots of fun today! Garner was a buzz for sure! I went out to Lake Benson with some friends to catch a little Scotty fever & support our hometown boy! Crazy, just pure crazy is all I can say! People EVERYWHERE, but lots of fun!

I have always had a great deal of respect for him as he is a genuine kid who continues to stand strong on his faith & beliefs. Today I am even more impressed. As he drove past us & was entering into the park he was overcome with emotion. I can't imagine being 17 & welcomed home to those sights! He has made us proud for sure & the smile on his face & the rolling tears were priceless.

Before he came on stage his pastor came out & prayed- that is right! In front of some 30,000 people FBC of Garner's pastor spoke & prayed (Also aired live on WRAL for thousands more to watch!). When Scotty came out 1 of the 1st things he did was give credit to God his Lord & Savior. As he was surprised on stage by a visit from Josh Turner he credited Josh for being a strong Christian in the industry who refused to sing about drinking & stood up for his faith. He later shared a "God thing" with the crowd. At 17 years old with very little time, lots of songs to sing, & lots he could have said he shared about his devotion time earlier this week, how he was worried about the forecast for today, & how God revealed Himself through His Word. He quoted Amos 4:7 & gave glory once again to God. He also shared how he has grown closer to God through his time on American Idol. He said without God he would have thrown in the towel long ago & quoted Phil 4:13. He had a Christian track printed that has his own personal testimony & his youth group was passing it out in the parade.

Impressed, simply impressed! At 17 his life has been turned upside down over the past few months & he continues to stand firm in his faith, beliefs, & values. I just pray that God will use him in big ways. I also pray he'll have the strength to stand firm in all that is to come-I don't think he be back at Lowe's Food bagging groceries anymore! Good luck Scotty- you make Garner proud!

Adoption?

Yesterday a lady was over at our house. Olivia was playing & she asked if she was our only child. I said, "yes, but she is getting a little brother in September." The lady paused, then very seriously asked if we were adopting. I said," no she's getting a little brother in September." She looked puzzled. Seth laughed & said, "she is pregnant!". She asked how we knew it was a baby brother, did we just hope it was going to be a baby brother? She looked very confused at this point! We explained we knew it was a brother from the ultrasound & we were 22 weeks along. Her face was priceless! She then asked if he was really little....we just laughed! I tried to tell her Olivia was over 8 pounds & 21 1/2 inches when she was born- her reaction was too funny! Seth & I have laughed about it several times. She was really excited that she thought we were adopting- too funny!

I promise he is in here! I promise he is measuring totally normal & on track! & I am willing to bet he too will be a healthy baby boy like his big sis when he arrives!

I love the beach!

We went to Wilmington for the weekend & rode the boat over to Topsail Island on Saturday. Olivia loved playing in the sand & had a great time. She was so excited when she found this shell. She was even more excited when she tasted the salt water on it! She is ready for lots of fun in the sun this summer! You can check out all the beach pics on our Picasaweb page.
